ABOUT

Chip Curtis, engineer for Pat Lawlor Design, told us a bit about his involvement with this game:I did the lamp effects and all the low level code support for Stewies playfield. I also designed the electronics for Stewies doll, and the electronics for his playfield. I worked with Pat until the end of PLD, which was just the two of us at the end. Good or bad the electronics in the mini playfield was all mine. LEDs were still hated in pinball, so my philosophy was to stay away from lamp effects used in tungsten lamps, and focus on the effects and attributes that LEDs were capable of. Fast, was what I aimed for, just make it dazzle. Towards the end, corporate took over all software development. It was bittersweet; we weren't happy with the direction of the game so we were grateful to let go of it, but it wasn't the game we wanted to make, so we were sad to see it go.

If you have a very low score going into ball 3, the beer can shot will usually be lit for a multiball.

Shoot the right orbit (Lois spinner) in order to light modes. When "TV" is lit, shoot the scoop to the left of captive ball to start a mode.

Crazy Chris mode can be extremely lucrative. Left ramp to secure value and left orbit to advance to next value. Alternate ramp and orbit.
