ABOUT

Originally named 'World Hockey'. Reportedly, a prototype version of this game had all playfield inserts marked as playing cards instead of billiard balls and the accompanying game manual referred to these cards. The flyer states, "For the first time ever, a minimum of 25 seconds is guaranteed for extra ball play! Any ball drained during the first 25 seconds is automatically returned to the shooter!" They mean not "any ball" but only Extra Balls, as clarified in the manual where it is an operator option to adjust the factory default of 25 seconds to be anywhere from 15 to 40 seconds for "Extra-Ball time", not "extra ball-time".

(The final coat of paint (opaque silver) was screened with the backglass inverted. This placed the words 'Game Over', 'Highest Score', 'Shoot Again', 'Ball In Play', 'Match', and 'Tilt' at the top of the glass. From the game with serial number 520 09500. Included in this image is the 'inspection' form found inside the game.)

Drop targets, balls 1-5, must be shot in order, or you go backwards in sequence! Be careful. Once advanced to 6, you are safe.

Patient play is key, let balls bounce and settle for controlled shots. Drop targets are a safer shot from the upper right.

Spelling B A L L spots the lit ball and lights the spinner for 1k. Multiply bonus (up to 20x) by completing P O O L lanes.

If you have already completed one or more "racks", go for multipliers (POOL lanes at top), less risky than trying for additional racks.
